Mizzou Academy Scholarship

Mizzou Academy offers partial needs-based scholarships for high school students living in the United States. This program aligns with our core values.

For selected recipients, Mizzou Academy has a limited amount of funding to help offset the cost of our supplemental courses and diploma programs. If you or a student you know is interested in applying for a partial needs-based scholarship, please complete the application form linked below.

Our application process requires information from the student, their family, and a non-relative recommender. Please review the detailed information below about what materials you’ll need to prepare to submit your scholarship application, as well as the requirements for your recommender. If you are a new student to Mizzou Academy and have questions about graduation requirements before applying, please contact our Director of School Counseling, Amelia Howser, at howsera@missouri.edu.

What to Expect on the Scholarship Application

  • Student Information: student’s name, email address, phone, date of birth, physical address, guardian information, and Mizzou Academy Student ID (if applicable)
  • Student Academic Information: most recent school attended, grade level for the 2026-27 school year, cumulative GPA, and # of courses for the 2026-27 school year
  • Family Financial Information: monthly income, monthly expenses, other scholarships or alternative funding, and % of family contribution 
  • Recommender Information: name, relationship, email address, and phone
  • File Uploads/Required Documentation:
    • Proof of residency (if in the state of Missouri)
    • Required PDF or Word document answering the following questions:
      • What would you like the scholarship committee to know about you?
      • Why do you want to study at Mizzou Academy?
      • What strategies will you use to be successful in online learning?
      • What are your greatest strengths?
      • Tell us about someone you admire and why.

Requirements for Selecting a Recommender

Recommenders should be familiar with your academic skills, goals, accomplishments, etc. Examples include: school counselors, principals or assistant principals, home school communicators, former teachers, and other school personnel. Recommenders should not be family members or friends. If you’re unsure about your recommender or have questions about these requirements, please contact the Director of School Counseling, Amelia Howser, at howsera@missouri.edu.
